Product information "Key steels DIN 6880"
Key steel
Bright key steels in accordance with DIN 6880 are used to manufacture taper keys with gib head DIN 6884, DIN 6887 and hollow taper keys with gib head DIN 6889 as well as parallel keys DIN 6885 and keys DIN 6886.
Key steels are available as rods with square, rectangular or flat-rectangular cross-sections in lengths of up to 1 m. They are manufactured from scoured, chipless cold-formed steel or stainless steel with a relatively smooth, bright surface. This ensures a correspondingly high dimensional accuracy.
