mbo Osswald has been a part of the UN Global Compact since 2009. Our support for its principles is actively expressed throughout our company and is communicated to our immediate suppliers. In our areas of economic and social activity, we uphold a range of fundamental values in the fields of human rights, labour standards, environmental protection and the fight against corruption, all of which we embrace, support and implement in practice.
Protection of international human rights
Respect for and the safeguarding of human rights are an integral part of our corporate philosophy.
Avoidance of complicity in human rights abuses
Abuses of human rights are not tolerated. Preventive measures and forward-looking concepts for human rights protection are taken into account at an early stage and embodied in our business relationships.
Safeguarding of the freedom of association and acknowledgement of the right to collective bargaining
The freedom of individual and collective self-determination is an important component in the corporate philosophy.
Elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour
No forced or compulsory labour is practised within the company. The constitution, labour laws and relevant regulations of the Federal Republic of Germany or of the country in which the branch is located are respected and adhered to.
Unacceptability of child labour
No child labour is practised within the company. Children’s rights are respected and minors receive particular support and protection during vocational training, placements or holiday work.
Elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation
Discrimination is not tolerated. Employees of all natures and orientations are treated respectfully and fairly and enjoy equal treatment in all our activities.
Support for a precautionary approach to environmental challenges
We take care of and preserve resources and maintain and care for the environment.
Initiative to foster greater environmental awareness and responsibility
We familiarise our employees with the need to behave responsibly with regard to the environment.
Development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies
Wherever possible, we make use of technologies that help preserve resources.
Work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery
Fair and open collaboration with customers and suppliers based on economic considerations is our key principle.
